Wreckfest Saturday Nite.

Welp, it’s easy for Old Hank to say, but all the work, all the sweat, all the nerves, all the finagling, all the bands, all the talent, all the fans, all the everything came together this past weekend in Wreckfest: an epic, first ever, “why didn’t anyone do this before” Cville Live Music weekend at IX Art Park.

Ryan Calonder, his band Disco Risque and his friends and family who worked tirelessly to bring this to us deserve more credit and love than we could possibly muster, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying.

2 days, 17 bands, 3 stages and an insane number of moving parts meshed beautifully to make one fucking great weekend of music.

The first video (above) of the weekend is Saturday Nite — a high octane, 4 band cut that should give the faithful flashbacks and the knuckleheads that didn’t go more FOMO than can be treated by any remedy except buying your tickets next year.

We’ll cut Saturday Afternoon and Sunday versions, so all you bands will get your moment in the sun.

Enjoy!
