Reasons to Wreck: Orion Redwolf.

Raised in Charlottesville and recently relocated to Nashville, Orion Redwolf was featured along with 3 other Virginia artists in the songwriters’ round at this year’s Virginia Day Party at AMERICANAFEST. As a songwriter and producer, he’s helped several of our local bands like Kendall Street Company and Uga Buga capture their vision in the studio. And he helped lots of budding Cville musicians get their start in the studio, running the music production education program at MRC here in town.

Now, he’s taking the stage to perform his own songs at 2:15pm on Sunday September 21 at Charlottesville’s very own music festival at IX Art Park, Wreckfest. This past Thursday, Orion released his second single, “So you say”, off his Rosewater EP. The first single “Cedar” is a beautiful piece of guitar improvisation you are gonna wanna hear. His influences include John Prine, Michael Kiwanuka and Leone Bridges — pretty good company for any singer songwriter.
