Rebecca Porter’s Halloween Country Creep Show at Durty Nelly’s.

We’ve made no bones about the fact that we think Rebecca Porter is one of the great talents to come out of the area and that she is well on her way to large things. Which makes getting out and seeing her locally while you still can an absolute no-brainer. And if you can catch her at Durty Nelly’s, with all those ghosts behind the bricks, boards and ceiling tile, flying up and down the chimney (not talking about the regulars), that makes it scary good.

Well apocalypse zombies, clear your schedule for this Thursday, October 30th at 7pm cuz Rebecca is hosting the annual Country Creep Show with guests The Highwater and Jules Kresky, which is the icing on an already devilshly good pumpkin spice cupcake.

If you’re already a fan, you know what we mean — the haunting voice, the preternatural writing skills and the otherworldly musicianship of her band will be on display. And if you haven’t seen her because, say, you’ve been locked in a dank closet in a derelict farmhouse outside Buena Vista with the only sound of music being a Skill 090 chainsaw hacking thru what sounds like meat, then this may be one of your last chances before the rest of the country steals her away from us.

To get stoked, check out Old Hank’s Nashville chat with Rebecca at the Virginia Day Party at AMERICANAFEST where she was a featured artist (in the vid above).

Then get yer ghoulish butts to Durty Nelly’s Thursday Night. We’ll see y’all there.
